This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you use the Dawar mobile app and related services (waste-collection requests, rewards, articles/quizzes, events, notifications, and in-app assistant).
2) Data We Collect
- Account & Profile: name, mobile number, language, date of birth, profile photo (optional).
- Service Data (Waste Collection): saved addresses/locations you provide, requested collection details (waste categories, images you upload), request IDs and statuses.
- Rewards & Activity: points balance, transaction history (earn/redeem), leaderboard/rank, referral code usage.
- Content & Engagement: articles viewed, quizzes taken and scores, events you view/enroll/rate, feedback you submit.
- Device & Usage: app version, device model, operating system, anonymized analytics events, crash logs.
- Approximate/Precise Location (optional): if you enable location to pin pickup addresses or discover nearby events.
- Photos/Camera (optional): if you upload waste or event images.
- Push Notification Token: to deliver in-app/push notifications (requests, reminders, announcements).
- Support & Communications: messages to support, call logs triggered via "Call" buttons (we do not record calls).
3) How We Use Data
- Provide and improve core features (collection requests, routing, rewards, articles/quizzes, events).
- Operate notifications (request updates, event reminders, announcements).
- Fraud prevention, security, and abuse detection.
- Analytics, performance, and product improvement (in aggregate or de-identified form).
- Compliance with law, enforcement of our Terms, and handling of disputes.
- With consent, to show localized content or use device capabilities (camera, photos, location).
4) Sharing & Transfers
- Service Providers: cloud hosting, analytics, notifications, customer support, payment gateways—bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Logistics/Operations Partners: limited data needed to fulfill a collection/event service.
- Legal/Compliance: when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and property.
- Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or reorganization, data may transfer under the same protections.
- Cross-border Transfers: where applicable, safeguarded by standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.
5) Your Choices & Rights
- Permissions: enable/disable location, camera, photos, and notifications in device settings.
6) Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it, subject to legal/contractual retention requirements (e.g., financial records).
7) Children
Dawar is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children below this age.
8) Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method is 100% secure; we promptly assess and address incidents.
9) Third-Party Links
Articles, event listings, or external resources may link to third-party sites or services. Their privacy practices are not controlled by us.
10) Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
